Storytelling with the camera: a pair of free photography workshops by Forest Park Conservancy and Bruce MacGregor Photography.
On Saturday, August 24 and Saturday, October 5, Forest Park Conservancy will host a pair of three hour long workshops designed to introduce amateur or beginning photographers to the art of storytelling with the camera. Both workshops are free, but enrollment is limited, and early signups are encouraged.
The workshops are designed to work together. The August 24 workshops will introduce basic principles of photographic story-telling (and let participants practice them); the October 5 workshop will apply storytelling principles to photography for influencers- in particular, influencing for environmental awareness and action.
Recommended: bring a manual exposure camera (but any camera will work).
